Because this province was so poor, and had such little people, they never got the right to vote in the States-General nor did they get a representative status, despite being a full member. Holland also didn’t want to lose any power either, and therefore refused the province their voting rights and representative status.))

Day 4 : Places i want to visit

Places? Okay, as a person who enjoy strolling around new places, let’s talk dream places. And just to give you some heads up here, Makkah al-Mukarramah and Madina al-Munawwarah is like my ultimate dream places to visit. I really wish i could be there someday, either it’s Hajj or Umrah. Or maybe both?? But since it has more special and spiritual purpose I don’t think I would explain more of that here. The paragraphs below are gonna tell you about some other places.

So the first place I reaaaally want to visit is none other than Switzerland! I mean to ride Bernina Express with all those view? The snow festival at Grindelwald? Walking along with the people in the Village of Zermatt, seeing the Matterhorn so near? To explore St. Moritz with the mirror-like lakes, jagged peaks, alpine forests, and oodles of sunshine? The Ruinaulta? The Rhine Falls? Or simply walking through the street of Zurich or Bern (maybe get lost a little), seeing historical landmark there? Sign me up!!!

The second one is Netherlands. I’ve been dreaming about this place since I was 16. Read some novels that took place in Amsterdam and Leiden. Watched some movies too, with the cities; Rotterdam, Den Haag, and Utrecht. Ugh I even dreamed of getting my master there when I was in college.

I always admire the beauty of Europe with the buildings and the streets in general. I mean if you ask me, I want to visit the UK, French, Spain, Belgium, Greece, Austria, and some other countries/cities too.

What? You asking me is there any country in Asia I want to visit? To be honest… other than Republic of Türkiye (which technically is not just Asia), I'm not sure. And that surprised me too, because you know… I've been a Kpop fan for the longest time so Korea should be on the list, right? But no, I’m not like… obsessed about going to South Korea? Never was, never will. I mean it would be reaaally nice if I have the opportunity yes, but if you give me the ticket to Switzerland or Netherlands??? Oh I would be hysterical lol.

O and of course I’ve got some cities in Indonesia I want to visit!

Pertama dan utama, Sumatera Barat. Aku bermimpi kesana sejak lama. Ke Ngarai Sianok dan Danau Maninjau, juga air terjun Lambah Anai, jam Gadang, dan landmarkmenarik lainnya di Sumatera Barat. Tempat lain yang ingin aku kunjungi sebenarnya adalah kota apapun di Indonesia. Maksudku, aku pribadi berpikir bahwa setiap tempat di Indonesia layak dikunjungi. Rasanya seperti mengunjungi tempat saudara sendiri saja. Melihat langsung budaya, tradisi, bahasa daerah, makanan khas, upacara adat, kebiasaan-kebiasaan, peninggalan bersejarah, kekayaan alam, serta segala perbedaan-perbedaan yang mengagumkan.

Song stuck in my head: hahaha okay this is a weird one but it’s the song from don’t hug me i’m scared 4. since the new trailer came out i have been rewatching all of the episodes and spending my time watching theories/explained video’s (yeah i am in deep) lol, so now my mind is constantly singing “i’m a computery guy”.. it’s quite annoying.

Why did I choose this username: it’s a lyric from ‘sleepwalking’ by joe brooks. i haven’t listened to him in aaages, i don’t really care for his music anymore whoops. but i used to listen to him a lot when i was like 13 and i thought this sounded cool

Average amount of sleep: i’d say about 6 hours a night in a usual ‘school’week? my year at uni only just started, the last few months i’ve been sleeping a lot more just bc i didn’t need to be anywhere in the morning

Lucky number: never really thought of it, but... i think i like 16 for some weird reason?

What I’m wearing: baggy sweatpants, a black crop top, and a very comfortable gray cardigan. the only thing i had to do was finish a few assignments for my courses and definitely not go outside and see people, so i went for a comfy look today :)

Dream trip: there are soooo many places i would like to visit! my god. but for me, the most important thing is being with cool people. i went on 2 city trips with friends last year, and i think that is basically my fav kind of holiday: friends, a cool city, visiting awesome things, eating good food, and going out at night. doesn’t really matter where i am exactly (:

Favorite food: basically any kind of pasta. doesn’t matter what you do with it, carbonara, pesto, arrabiata, whatever; pasta is always the b e s t.

Play any instruments? i play piano sometimes. not nearly as much as i would like, but i used to take lessons and now i’m trying to pick it up again.

Describe myself with aesthetics: hmmm idk man, i think i am like a mix of a lot of different things.. one moment i am like happy/sunshine/killthemwithkindness/yellow/flowers etc but then i’m like slightly emo/poppunk/roses/all-black/etc and other times i am something completely different so yeah????????

Languages I speak: i would say i am fluent in dutch and english (i guess).  i mean, we do get french and german classes in highschool here in the netherlands but let’s be honest: those classes taught me nothing and i dropped them as soon as i was in my 5th year (up until then they were mandatory)

Most iconic song: iconic song?? hm. maybe the ballad of mona lisa?? or literally any song from high school musical?? or something like weak by AJR bc it describes me lol. OR WAIT MAYBE TAKE A HINT FROM VICTORIOUS?!

Random fact: i used to do this weird sport called wheel gymnastics, and i got to participate in the national championships a few years in a row and actually won once lol. those were the glory days man, now i achieve nothing anymore!!!!!!!! :))
